The Flawed Logic

Image
Once in your life, you will meet someone that would leave a mark on your memory, and would teach you valuable life lessons you will never ever forget. Though his ideas seem to be flawed, for me it isn't. It's just the way he thinks, that I adapted somehow upon hours of talking to him, listening to his premises, expounding his ideas and expressing his thoughts about particular subject mostly about religion and life inconsistencies.  Smoke till death When I asked him why he keeps on smoking though he knows the ill effects of it somewhere later in life, I remember him telling me this..  "At some point, we are all going to die. Our bodies, whether we like it or not, will wither and die. Even if it's not fair, some will live longer than the others, some will die all of a sudden. We all don't know how, but for me, when I die, I can say I chose my death. It's better to have a reason for dying than dying all of a sudden."  Pampalubag-loob When something bad and un...

When I Die

Image
When you die, how would you like to be remembered?  Accept it or not, we are all going to leave this world. We don't know exactly when, if we are to reach an old age or die all of a sudden. Unexpected and crime-related deaths are everywhere, with new set of news of murders, suicides like its just a natural occurrence in society now. Though I wish to reach my golden years, I have no knowledge of what's to come and everything in life is uncertain. I am not wishing for an early death but in our time now, anything is possible. And so it made me think and realize, if I were to die, how would people remember me?  First of all, when I die, I want my loved ones to remember how I care for them. How I love them more than anything in this world and that they should always remember that no matter what. That they should always bear in mind, that I have lived my life to the fullest, I have fulfilled my dreams, I have experienced the beauty of this world, I've got no regr...

Nurses, pack your bags and leave Philippines!

Image
Photo credits: Ang NARS Partylist Why would you stay in a country who won't even appreciate your contribution in healthcare and society? Much worse, will even be the one to degrade, corrupt and exploit the noble profession which we all have patiently achieved through hard work, sweat, blood and tears!  If you are thinking and relying on the Philippine government to uplift our profession, well think again! Sadly, our own country who should have been looking after our welfare, raising our dignity as nurses, is also the one who can't even appreciate us. So why would you want to stay in a country who can't even give you the salary and benefits which you truly deserved. If you go to different countries, like here in UAE, Filipino nurses are being praised for being the ones who give the outmost, highest quality of care to patients and are the most preferred and demanded by almost all healthcare institutions. Employment conditions may vary from different institutions but salary/be...

I found Life when I found Myself 2..

Image
When we faced to difficult circumstances, getting up and getting back on track becomes the hardest thing to do. The aftermath effects it brought us is painstakingly agonizing that we have to endure it everyday. We undergo a lot of changes as our response and way of coping up. We becomes self-destructive, we tend to do things out of our character and in effect, we don't know what we've become anymore. We've lost our self-respect and our identity. Those people who changed when unfavorable circumstances happened, they are not fully satisfied of what they've become. They long for the peace they once had when everything was doing good and smooth, before the inevitable as what had happened to me.  The Aftermath of a Break-up After the ending of a relationship that lasted for more than 3 years, i was so lost and heartbroken. Having been betrayed by a lot of people, friends and lover alike, it was too much for me to bear. The pain, the hurt and suffering I felt was indescribabl...

Do you ever feel that moment when all you got is boredom? Like there's nothing to look forward to, no reason to strive at all and you feel like you're stuck and frozen when there's actually lot of action going on around you. The world revolves and the people you know, your family, peers and colleagues seems like all moving forward, they get married, have kids, settle, get a job, move to different places, travel and so in and so forth; but you?, still in the same place, same status, same job, same salary, same sorroundings, same routine and same problems. You're in vicious cycle that you created and that's what you call "LIFE". Others are envious of what you have and see it as if you are living the life that you have dreamt of, they strive day by day just to have a chance of having the same achievements as yours, but to you, it is just a pathetic boring life! Then you start questioning yourself, am I actually living this kind of life?, Is this what I really...

What is Life After Graduation?

Image
Most students see life after graduation as an escape to the world of books and classrooms, a grand vacation and well of course, more time for sleeping and relaxation. But what is it as it really it is? It has been 3 years now when "I marched on that aisle with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes, because at last, years of studying was over, soon" and so I thought it would be. Little did I know, I wasn't prepared for the harsh realities of life that confronted me right after graduation. It was so much different than what I thought it would be and these things I wrote in here, will give you an insight of what life after graduation really looks like. No more allowance/baon . A common occurrence in our culture is that, after  you earn a degree, you are now on your own and depending on your parent is unacceptable. Thus requiring you to get a job because it's what everyone expects of you. You will now learn to value money because you will be one to earn it for yourself ...

The Nights to Remember

Image
Dedicated for that person who made my life colorful just by being in it for a certain period of time. He was in a long distance relationship and I was in a complicated relationship by the time we got to know more of each other. We became very close for those things we have in common and would spend time together whenever he takes a vacation off from his work abroad. After a few years of being in an LDR and being engaged with his long-time girlfriend, he resigned from his work to make things work for them and take their relationship to the next level.  By the time he came home to fix his papers so he can be with his fiancĂ©e which happened to be in a different country, I was in a moving-on state from the break up of my not so good and complicated relationship. While he was preparing to go, we had a chance to see each other again and  spent a few times together as a long-time-no-see friends catching up with the times lost. Considering our situation, We became so attached to each ...
